I live in Duncraig with my husband and two sons, aged 13 and 10. We have moved around a lot as a family, both internationally and interstate, but we always return to our lovely, leafy neighbourhood, where we've made our home.
Right now l am working as a Freelance Copywriter.
My background is in advertising and I have worked for some of the biggest agencies in Perth and Australia, including Singleton Ogilvy & Mather in Sydney. I also have experience running my own marketing agency, with a team of six advertising specialists.
I believe that I am in a good position to take on a new challenge and have the time and energy it will take to work for my community as the South Ward Councillor. I want to make a difference.
I enjoy taking an active part in my local community and am currently the Vice President of the Marmion, Sorrento, Duncraig Progress & Ratepayers Association.
I also take an active role in volunteering at my son's school: Poynter Primary, where I manage the Scholastic Bookclub. I've also been Classroom Co-ordinator and helped to run the P&C Poynter Farmers Market Stall.
But my biggest community involvement for the past two years has been to fight for better development outcomes within the City of Joondalup: particularly with HOA Areas.
It is this work that has inspired me to try to represent my community's voice further, by running for the position of South Ward Councillor for the City of Joondalup. I hope you can support me.
